Court Help Limited (CHL) has been created to provide support to litigants and parents in their most difficult times. CHL is focused on giving effective low-cost support for parents who cannot afford solicitors and barristers in family court proceedings. We will provide you with Paralegal support in complex children matters, Non-Molestation charges, domestic violence issues, parental alienation, and divorce, and that too at a fraction of unreasonably high solicitor fees. If you would like to know more about the services we provide, have a look at our services page.
In family law cases, the experience is key, And our director is a fellow member of the National Association of Licenced Paralegals, has earned the License to Practice by the National Association of Licenced Paralegals. Our director has worked many cases, including representing a client on the grant of Right of Audience at High Court. To have a look at our proven track record, taken a look at our reviews page.
Our charges are a fraction of the enormous fees of a solicitor, who charge £240 an hour, over 4 TIMES what CHL charges. If the situation allows, CHL will encourage you to bring matters to an amicable settlement with the opposite party through a collaborative approach, however, we understand this is not always possible, and if all mediation based efforts fail CHL will support you with your case.
To make sure you get the best experience possible, we offer a free initial support call, where you can explain your issues to us and we can explain how to further help you in this challenging time. We will leave no stone unturned to ensure the best interest of you and your child.
When all mediation based efforts fail, and if no legal aid is available, a few of the critical choices for an individual seeking justice in our Courts include:
1. Hiring the services of solicitors, who charge around £240 AN HOUR, these charges can, and most likely will, run into tens of thousands of pounds. These astronomical fees of lawyers can often leave the litigant (you) without any support at all.
2. When you cannot afford the fees of the solicitor, you must make a difficult choice, to fight for your rights, or give up. The applicants and respondents need to consider the prohibitive litigation costs ‘Vis-à-vis’ giving up or accepting a bad deal in the name of “Settlement” or “By Agreement”.
3. The final choice then becomes represent yourself as a Litigant in Person: It can be concluded that sometimes the only option might be to represent yourself. It is as such a point that McKenzie Friend can play a valuable role, as they can help you with paperwork and support you and give quiet layman advice in the court date.
Our director is a Fellow Member of the National Association of Licensed Paralegals, has earned the License to Practice by the National Association of Licensed Paralegals. He has been granted the Right Of Audience in multiple Courts including the High Court.
We are proud to be upfront and honest about the support we can offer and the services that we can not provide.
The company is NOT a regulated Law practice, and we do not act as Solicitors or Barristers and nor do we represent a client in the same way as the Solicitors or/and Barristers can.
Nothing on this website or any communications from Court Help Limited constitutes as professional Legal Advice.
We disclaim any liability and responsibility from any reliance placed by anyone on the materials and contents of this website.
Please note our approach is that “The Childs Interest is Paramount” and thus we reserve the right to refuse to offer our services if we believe that doing so is not in the best interest of the child or children involved.
Given that McKenzie friends are NOT solicitors, it is honest and essential for Court Help Limited to call out that all times the litigant in person must accept responsibility for running their own case, and for covering all aspects of it. Court Help Limited will NOT run your case for you.
Court Help Limited is not a firm of solicitors or/and barristers. Our director is not legally qualified, and the things said by Court Help Limited, and its McKenzie Friend (our director) is only to be considered as suggestions. The litigant must assess for themselves its value and applicability to their case. The litigant must accept responsibility for all decisions. If any doubts the litigant must consider consulting Solicitors and Citizen Advise Bureau (CAB).
